Depends a whole lot on what that "something" is. For example, being a Republican is a whole lot different than getting loaded. Of course, the odds that you can change a partner are slightly less than the odds of finding a partner that doesn't need changing. That is, of course, if your psychology permits...

Communicate your wishes to him about this matter. Tell him how it hurts your feelings when he persists in this behavior. If he expresses concern for your feelings but is committed to keeping the problem behavior, then you will have to decide whether you can tolerate the behavior. If you can't or if he doesn't care about your feelings at all, then you would be wise to consider ending this relationship and finding yourself a more compatible partner.

Tell him how you feel and either accept it or move on. You can't change a person especially if that person doesn't want to change. If you can't accept the behavior then that's not a relationship.

He won't stop doing something because you don't want him to, he'll only stop if HE wants to. So if you find whatever he's doing is too obnoxious, you'd better move on.

why do women meet men, think he's the one, i love him, he's so great, he's perfect. Then they go about trying to change him. You've placed your bet love, you have two choices, stick with it or crumple up your docket and walk away from the track.
