You need to have a look at Tammy Faye Baker ROFLMFOA Now, that's too much make-up.

When it looks like someones used a spatula to apply your make up, that's too much make up.

Go light on it. Foundation will clog your pores - Use powder if your complexion isn't horrible. That'll keep the shine down and give you a natural look.

Go light on the blush, you don't want to look like you've just farted in public or something. LOL

As far as eye liner, don't put it on so thick that people think your man has been smacking you around. LOL

It all depends on the occasion
Office make up I prefer light foundation, a little concealer, mascara and lip gloss. No perfume only deodorant. It is not fair to other people in your office to be stuck with your par fume for
8 h. Unless you work in environment where wearing a lot of make up is a plus, like make up stores.
For gym I only use a little waterproof mascara or nothing at all.
Beach waterproof mascara and lip gloss.
Special occasions like someones wedding I use everything mentioned in office make up plus blush and eye shadow.
If you're going out at night, go for it, let your imagination run wild.

The idea of makeup is to enhance your natural beauty, Cover flaws (for those of us who have them), and protect your skin. Most foundations and moisturizers have a sunscreen in them. This will protect your face from sun damage. Beyond that, use your make up to hightlight your best features, but not overly so that the feature itself is minimized by the overabundance of color. There are some great magazines with beauty and make up tips. Seventeen for younger girls, and general fashion magazines for teens and women. I actually saw a great article in Prevention magazine just a few months ago. Good luck.

Depends on where you are going. If it is casual you should seem like almost no makeup except lip gloss and a little mascara. For events where a lot of people will be looking at you and taking pictures you want to do yourself up really good.

When you feel like your face cannot breathe, when you seem to break out ever so often, when you spend more time putting on make up than bathing and changing. When YOU feel it's too much.

Depends on the situation.
Too much makeup is when people think you are wearing too much makeup. Of course you can ignore them if you want to make a statement.

If you look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show, you're wearing way too much makeup.

In my opinion, if you can notice that you're wearing makeup, it's too much. I don't like seeing all the black sludge around women's eyes that they wear. Unless you're an Egyptian queen, it just doesn't look natural.
