After all The United State is the most important country in the world. If it wasn't for the United States the entire world would be ruled by thugs and dictators

Ok let me put down some facts to qualify what I am saying. The US has brought freedom to more people than any other country past or present. The US has educated more people, fed more people, clothed, more people than anyone else. When natural dissaster strikes the United States is the one who coordinates the rescue/relief efforts. We have never had a King or Emperor. We do not use our military might to supress other countries. We use our Military might to free citizens of other nations from evil dictators. We have gained more power and abused it less and used it for good more than anyone else and Nations like France hate us for it. I don't understand why.

They don't like us because most people in Europe have their government taking care of them (health and funds). They split the wealth so no one is rich. They are mostly liberals. It is very hard to find a conservative in Europe. Simple as that! Look at France....they seemed to have forgotten WWII and what sacrifices we endured as a country for their freedom against Nazis. They have us to thank for it....but they have forgotten what it is like to be ruled by a dictator who would have made them speak German if we hadn't liberated them. It's so sad...they have forgotten why they are who they are today. Viva La France! They don't understand why we are in Iraq...it's for the same reason we were in France during WWII. They just don't see the correlation. It is very very sad. It has absolutely nothing to do with the President of the U.S. because they hate us no matter who is president whether it's a Democrate or a Republican in office.

I lived there for 3 years. the popular of existence is stunning. The nation-state is proper, the cities are sparkling and properly-managed, the typical public rail structures are 2d to none. The foodstuff contained in the supermarkets is sparkling, the things you purchase are not from now on made in China, and individuals are knowledgeable. what isn't any longer to love? I used their universal health take care of three years, too, and it became many of the perfect i have ever experienced. it truly is a procedures better than the health care I actual have now interior u.s.. And sure, i'd be going decrease back for good some day. by technique of how, Europe is a continent, no longer a rustic....

Your 1st statement is the reason. Pride is a terrible thing, Europe can see our pride but they miss their own jealousy. The UN says we are the only Super Power left, that implies we are the most important. Not many countries are willing to help defend those who can not defend themselves. The hide behind, less play nice, we want peace, & the US is overusing their power. Cowards always have an excuse. Britian has been the only country to stand for peace with US. The other allies all together have less than 10,000 men according to USA Today - not a Bush friendly paper.

OK, first off - we are NOT the most important country in the world - it's obvious you need to travel - how about Iraq? - I hear it's lovely this time of year. Secondly, Europeans "hate" Americans b/c at least half of this country has it's head up it Elephant butt! This country needs to worry more about how we are destroying the environment (we contrib the largest amount globally to that prob) and less about what or who Paris Hilton is screwing. At this point I would rather be living in Europe than this poor excuse for a democracy.

I think it has a lot to do with Americans' individual arrogance, a lack credit to where they came from, and the lack of historical experience. European civilization begun long before the U.S. became a country. The U.S. exists because Europeans brought their customs, cultural practices, philosophy etc to this land.

In re the entire world being ruled by thugs and dictactors...that's an inaccurate statement...

I'm an American and even I can see the answer to that one. Your smug attitude reflects the way the world looks at America. To the rest of the world, America is like a cheap, flashy street prostitute, showing off all her loud expensive looking, gaudy wares.

She flaunts her power, flaunts her wealth -and makes the other nations feel like she's calling them inferior.

I find it amazing that in the Book of Revelation in the Bible, it details the very exact way the world views America as in the world views related in the spiritual Babylon ...,

Sad, isn't it? We had the sympathy of the world after 9-11 and now more people than ever hate us. Just shows to go what happens when you have a heinous man "leading" the country.

Wow, you actually believe the propoganda bullcrap that's been shoved down your throat? THE WORLD hates the States because your country is ignorant and arrogant of others. You think you can police the world by yourself, and only your views are valid and no one else's. God, I hope you get chewed out by posting this question.

You are coming from an ethnocentric point of view. If you were a European you'd probably be asking Why so many in the U.S. hate Europe?
If you tried to see things from someone else's point of view maybe you wouldn't have to ask such stupid questions.
