I wonder how a nation where majority of its people suffered from the holocaust can justify their overreactions to the so called terrorist Hamas. The attack on the Palestinians now is just an excuse to get to the democratically elected government of Hamas. And the one-sided use of superior firepower on children and innocent civilians armed with only stones and slings is only such a flimsy excuse for looking for a kidnapped soldier.

Destroying bridges, electricity, infrastructures, lack of water and medicine, etc,...isn't this modern genocide? For God's sake? I thought we are all the children of God, but it looks only a few are/were chosen.

Another interesting question. Unfortunately, as you know only too well, there isn't a simple answer to hardly any of this question. The Palestinians have been treated despicably by the international community since they were kicked out by the British in 1948 to make way for the new state of Israel. It is understandable that they need a state of their own to replace what was taken from them. However, it would be wrong to condone the methods they use to bargain, even if we understand why they resorted to violence.

I think it would take a better man than I to claim that Hamas have never been a terrorist organisation. However, as you rightly state, they are the democratically elected representative of the Palestinian people. This is a fine example of Western (and especially US) hypocrisy. They claim to desire the spread of democracy - as long as it the right kind of democracy. If not then choose to ignore the results, or bully and threaten the withdrawal of aid.

On to Israeli methods. Undoubtedly they have been heavy-handed in their approach - the wall, the assassinations of political leaders and the recent incursions and destruction of Palestinian towns are all evidence of that. I don't believe this has much relevance to the holocaust. Much more likely is the history of centuries of persecution and, more importantly, the paranoia that inevitably comes with being a Jewish state surrounded by your enemies. I am not going to excuse the Israelis - they are making a terrible situation worse, but surely they should be allowed to forget the horrors of the holocaust. It has little to do with the current problems and will serve only to inflame passions that already run too high.

Haven't the Jews forgotten the holocaust yet too soon?

I wonder how a nation where majority of its people suffered from the holocaust can justify their overreactions to the (verified) terrorist Hamas. The attack on the Palestinians (a misnomer)
(*AKA- ARABS/EGYPTIANS/JORDANIANS/SYRIANS)*(who attacked first, without provocation- MURDERING innocent men, women & children ) (who have sworn to wipe Israel, a legitamat country off the map) now is just an excuse to get to the democratically elected "government" of Hamas. And the one-sided use of superior firepower (which they developed on their own, without help from Russia, Libya, Iraq, Iran & China) on children and innocent civilians (being used as shields and marks by Hamas) armed with only stones & slings (and Rockets & Greanades, semi-automatic firearms from the aforsaid countries) is only such a flimsy excuse for looking for a kidnapped soldier. (So, give him back if they are so freaking weak and mild).

Destroying bridges, electricity, infrastructures, (Hamas DIDN'T BUILD) lack of water (BOO-HOO- so stop being the international pains in the A** and build their "country" on their hy-jacked lands)) and medicine, etc,...isn't this modern genocide? (No, this is just what they want one-sided minds like yours to think) For God's sake? (Oh, and as far as God is concerned, He's for Israel!I thought we are all the children of God, (You are a child of God when you have JESUS in your heart!) but it looks only a few are/were chosen. (YES, the JEWS were chosen, by GOD, more than 5,000 years ago.) (You are almost on the right track!)

Hamas (Arabic: حركة حماس‎) is a Palestinian Islamist organization. It is listed as a terrorist organization by Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union,[1] Israel, and the United States,[2] and is banned in Jordan.[3]

Evan Jordan has banned Hamas. I don't think they are a so-called terrorist organization. All the children of God ... that is a laugh coming from a supporter of Hamas. How many innocents have been murders by the Islamic Radicals? Huh?

I've got a question for you to answer.

Considering your question there are a few points that must be raised. Firstly, you referred to Hamas as "so-called terrorists" when it is an organisation that is internationally recognised as a terrorist one. Secondly, you appear to believe that the Palestinians have only "stones and slings". If you have ever watched the news you will have seen that some of their population own, and use, a variaty of firearms, Kassam rockets, Katushia rockets, grenades and even suicide bombers.
You used understatements for the means of Palestinian fighting, yet extreme hyperbole when talking about Israels means of fighting; "genocide"! Please look on dictionary.com on the meaning of the word. Israel's actions in no way constitute "genocide". There are arab citizens of Israel with entirely equal rights to any other Israelis. There is no grounds whatsoever to apply that word to the actions, or ideals, of Israel.

So my question I would like you to answer is; how do people, such as yourself, become so narrow-minded and ignorant?

You are so far off base, I don't know where to start.
First of all, the Palestinians are not fighting with stones and slings, they are using Kassam rockets, rocket propelled grenades, and fully automatic machine guns.
Next, if a branch of government from a neighboring country decided to invade your country, wouldn't you want your country to fight back? What would you have them do instead, just let the terrorists do whatever they like for fear of stirring the pot and let the terrorists take over your country?
Thirdly, if the Israeli government is allowed to try to rescue its captured soldier, how would you propose they do that other than how they are now doing it? The Palestinian government is not going to do anything to help Israel, so the Israelis have to act on their own. The terrorists sheild themselves by hiding among civilians rather than coming out to meet the Israeli forces.
Israel's hand is forced by the Palestinians and by terrorist organizations. They have no other choice. Before you judge a country's actions, you must consider what its options are and attempt to impartially see both sides of the situation.

the similar old citizen in Germany contained in the 1930's knew that the Nazi's were anti-jew and anti-communist because it became area of the celebration doctrine and the German human beings ELECTED Hitler to workplace(by technique of a plurality no longer a majority), yet they actual knew that he disliked Jews. they did not understand that Hitler meant to kill all Jews, because Hitler did not understand that till 1941-1942. Where have you been the last 3 years? To my knowlege children and woman wearing bombs and going into populated areas and blowing themself up isn't exactly sticks and stones. What would you do if someone blew up your relative? Denied your right to exist? Hamas has it's main goal the destruction of the Israli state. It won't recognize the right of Israel to exist. Hamas has claimed credit to the killings of THOUSENDS of civilians. The civilians they kill don't even have rocks or slings. I know exactly what the USA would do if they were in Israels postion. Look at Afganistan, the american public wanted blood for the killing of American civilians. I'm actully suprised at the restraint Israel has shown in the past years. If it were any other western country in their position, ther would be no more arab countrys.

I live in West Virginia. If sixty odd years ago the Government of Ohio had murdered most of my family and most of my people, I would not have forgotten it, thanks to how the event would have been injected into the popular culture through books and movies.

And if sixty odd years later, terrorists from Kentucky were lobbing bombs into my state and sending Kentuckians here to act as homicide bombers, I would assume that a state of war exists and would hope my government would defend us by killing some Kentuckians. I would not give a rat's *** damn if the Kentucky government was democratically elected........

you idiot.

Its amazing how those that insist you decry the Nazis, use Nazi language and action. I pity the Jews, because America will not always be in the ascendancy. Read the rubbish written here about what happened 60 years ago, do they think the Arabs will also just forget? I pity the Jews and their syncopating supporters.
