You can't walk straight after you've been spinning for two reasons. 1) The fluid in your inner ear is still sloshing around making your brain trigger for continuing motion so your mind is trying to keep your body upright while it believes you are still spinning. 2) The continuation factor of vision. The eyes don't go directly to the brain, the eyes are more like a camera. They take pictures separated by split seconds. These split seconds require that your mind fill in the gaps so it looks like you have continuous vision. This dizzyness is your mind believing for those split seconds that you are still spinning.

It all has to do with the liquid in your inner ear.
When you spin or when you do something that moves the liquid around you lose your sense of balance...
If you stare out into the distance and allign your body with the surface of the earth you can regain your balance pretty easily.

Because you have knocked your equilibrium out of balance. It's what keeps us straight and balanced on a rocking boat, moving escalator, anytime.

Because when dizzy or having spun, you can't get your balance. And some times it's harder to see, everything is more blurry, or close to it.
