I (used to) smoke for the same reason i watch tv, go to the movies, check out the internet, drink a beer, go bowling, read a good book or whatever else floats your boat. Its an escape, some thing that relaxes you and makes the world a little less demanding and a lot more colorful. Sure, it might cause lung cancer somewhere down the line, but hell, if i eat too much ill have a heart attack, and if i drink to much orange juice ill drown. You only live once, at least die doing something you enjoy....

People smoke because they enjoy it. It's no different than having sex

or having a drink of alcohol.
--(which can cause liver problems, is known to be a factor in domestic abuse, automobile accidents and violence.)

Marijuana can cause a sense of euphoria, relaxation and an overall good mood. This is reason enough to use it.

Seen too many people smoke themselves stupid & risk everything including putting their friends & things they care about at risk just to be selfish. Even if the stuff actually made you smarter, those sorts of risks are just stupid.

some of these people just seem anti-drug. I smoke occasionally, I'm a senior in college with above a 3.5 gpa and I hope to go to law school. I'm not some moron smoking myself stupid, though people can. But you can make yourself seriously handicaped with anything--food, alcohol, heck, asprin. I smoke because I enjoy it, it's relaxing and nice to do with friends.

When I did I never thought it was really bad, but now I do not and it pissed me off teens my age say it nevers kills anyone, but those kids are the dumbasses who will drop out of school, or at least they talk about it.
