Spoken appreciatively, it would suggest a wholeness, connectedness, and balance in your life. In harmony with nature, wise beyond your years, loving of other people. Seen and appreciated as a mother figure by many, not just children or not just your own children.

When used negatively, it brings to mind hippy-dippy utopian ideals, furry armpits and communal living while raising semi-feral children.

It depends who says it and the context in which it is being said.
They might just mean that you are a good mother as Mother Nature aka Earth Mother is a good mother to all of us.
I don't know ask the person who called you that.

It means you are a back to basics kind of person in tune with the earth,doing no harm or pollution and giving something back. You always wear an apron and bake nice sugar cookies.
