Why does most of this country (USA) base it's political views on whatever famous people say?

Most are lemmings, they put are too much trust in the media, where "famous" people have a greater voice.

WE the People of the U.S.A. are simply to stupid to think for ourselves. We are an instant gratification nation. We don't take the time to imagine, investigate and discover answers, so we turn to famous people who the common people idolize so much that we put them above us as a whole. Most intelligent people realize that these famous people..(Actors..etc.) don't even have a college degree. Some don't even have a high school diploma. In our closed minded instant world, most common people feel that if these famous people have risen to such a high social plane, that they must be in the know with the real brains of our nation. WRONG! Don't listen to people like Barbara Streisand...(As an example). Just because she is a great singer and has made millions of dollars doing that, doesn't mean that she has a brain...just that she can sing.

I agree with you. This is a country that thinks that it is the world. We like in a country that likes to know what Paris hilton is wearing on a daily basis, when it should be focusing on bigger better problems.
