I say don't get a car with a stick shift...
It's hard to eat and drive or use the phone and change gears.

Get someone who can drive a stick shift show you...preferably on a vehicle that's close to needing a new clutch anyway...because you're going to burn that sucker out when you first start learning.

Addendum - I highly recommend learning to drive a stick. You may never have to drive one again, but once you learn..you'll remember it. I ended up as the only person on a road trip who could drive a stick...so I was driving exhausted. Not a good thing. If you ever need to move a large truck or a tractor or a stick is the only thing available in an emergency, how much smarter are you for knowing what to do?

Getting used to the clutch is the worst problem. Once you've driven a car with a Stick Shift for years, you kind of go crazy when you hop into an Automatic.
