NRA4EVR...people like that are giving the rest of us a bad name. No one ever hears about people who are getting on with life, the media ignores us.

Sir Velvet, I am one of those few who are actually back to normal, same old pre-K apartment and job, everything. Even my rent is the same as before! Rare these days, I know.

Survivor. If you have not started to do something about your post-K situation then you are a victim, but not of Katrina. My home was flooded. Repaired in January. 100% repaired. It is hard to get your life back to 'normal' in NOLA right now, but we are doing what we can and looking for what 'back to normal' will look like, maybe even define some of it ourselves.

It all depends on what you think. If you think you're a vicitm, you are. If you think you're a survivor, you are. You're not a victim until you let it get to you.
