As in how she jumped back to Christianity, etc...

Calm down some of you! It's a question, not an accusation! Or at least don't act like I'm the one attacking her... I have been a fan for years!!! Just wanted to know what others think.

By the way "feastonmyload", I think the rest of us would rather be stupid than you! :-) Did you pick the name 'cause no one will?

I think it's pretty ridiculous, but if she wants to deny it, more power to her. She can't change the fact that she wrote them, or that they were good! ^_^

I was a little sad when I heard about it, because I'm a HUGE fan of her work, (Sleeping Beauty series especially, cuz I'm just weird like that) but I think that if it's what she wants and needs, then it's her choice and her readers should support her. That sounds a little corny, but I look past the books to the writer, and as an aspiring author myself, I'd appreciate the sympathy and support if I was to make such a dramatic change.

She never left Christianity. If you read her books they are all deeply spiritual. Her characters always battle for good and evil. The "new" Ann Rice is just expressing an optimism now that the world desperately needs. Her own personality is evolving just like yours.

What?!? She's not a vampire anymore? Did somebody kill the guy that bit her before she sunk her teeth into any victims?
Dude, seriously, what does her religion have to do with her job? Besides, anything that a person can do to get past the death of a spouse is totally acceptable, even being a (gasp) Christian (or Muslim, or Jew, or Mac Donald's Fry Guy).

I didn't know she had openly left Christianity. Her books have always had some Christian content and some are downright based on Christian mythology. She has openly explored Christian religions and though I haven't read it yet I understand she has written a book dealing with a fictionalized account of a part of the life of Jesus. SHe openly questions the faith but that doesn't mean that she has dropped it.

I like her work, and that is all that should matter. Her personal views are her own, it does not seem to make her work suffer.
