This is so easy that if you cannot solve it yourself you are obviously not trying or else you shouldn't be taking the math course.

Linda's profit per toy would be $3 - $1.80, or $1.20

So the number of toys needed for $36 in profit woudl be 36/1.20 = 30

apparently she will benefit from each toy by $1.20 and so she should sell 36/1.2 which is 30 toys in order to make a profit of $36.00

Sale of one toy = $3.00 $3.00 - $1.80 = $1.20
Cost of one toy = $1.80
Profit of one toy = $1.20

How many times will $1.20 fit into $36.00?
$36.00 ÷ $1.20 = 30
So 30 toys need to be made.
