I know a lot of women who say they like baseball but I really think they're just saying that to impress guys.

I am a huge baseball fan. I absolutely love baseball. I have even gone as far as to get my two favorite teams logos tattooed on my ankles (CUBS and RED SOX) I will take off work to go to a game, I have let my kids skip school to go toThe Friendly confines of Wrigley Field I have loved my cubs forever, I even had summer jobs at Wrigley while i was an undergrad just to see every home game. I have played softball for 28 years now. I am die hard. I do not like it because the guys are nice looking or anything silly like that. I do not say I like baseball to impress anyone, I legitimately know my facts, I know older players and current players. I pay 49.95 for a season subscription to MLB.TV to watch games when I am at work. I personally believe that Ted Williams (Red Sox) is the best hitter of all time, he may not have the most homeruns but he is one of I believe 17 MLB players to ever hit 500 career homers, not to mention missed almost 5 years early in his career while he was fighitng in WWII. He won the triple crown 2 times: in 1942 before leaving for the war and 1947 just after returning. This is something Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, or even the immortal Babe Ruth did not do. only 14 players have been awarded the triple crown. (leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI's) Carl Yastrzemski another BoSox was the last player to receive this honor and that was 1967. I love baseball I can not get enough of it. Last night I was watching the all-star game with a guy that supposedly liked baseball, however I started talking and he had this deer in the headlight look on his face I realized he knew nothing about baseball. It really became apparent when he asked who Roberto Clemente was I was like dude you gotta go!! so how is that for irony for your question, I could keep going on and on. I have many opinons, and can hold my own in a sports bar and baseball talk with the guys..

I am a big baseball fan. I've been to about 24 different ballparks (major and minor league). I have a favorite team (the Cardinals), of course, but I appreciate the game on every level. People don't understand that it is a marvelous chess game. Every pitch the fielders are repositioned depending on the batter's tendencies. I just wish the National league would have won the All Star game. They haven't won a World Series game since 2003! We could use the home team advantage

Then why does it matter to you whether we love the game or not?Obviously you were just trying to get something started out here.I don't think the answers will mean much to you other than to see is you riled the women up.Believe it or not we can love the game even more than a "guy". Not that it will matter--but I got cable hooked in just so I could watch otherwise I could care less about TV in general. and I can watch 3 different games at the same time and keep up with what's going on in all 3 games.I have been to many games and try not to miss to many on TV.Nov. thru March sends me into withdrawls so about 10 years ago I got into football and hocky.HELLO! We can love our sports too! Just don't get in the way!

i was a huge tigers fan. I used to skip school just to watch
them play at the corner or l just listen to Erine on the radio. I don't say it to impress any guy. If the guy likes baseball and I do , well that's one thing we would have in common.

I've loved the Indians since I was a kid and used to watch the games with my grandpa. I'm in my thirties now and dating someone who is not a baseball fan. He's learned not to call during a game. LOL

I have a couple of friends (girls) that have traveled around the country on vacation - they've gone specifically to ballparks to catch the baseball games. Sounds like a true fan to me!
