The only "dumb" question is one that everyone present already know the answer to. Similarly, the only "dumb" answer is one that everyone present already knows. In either case, they are only truly "dumb" if one believes their reiteration is a true waste of time.

There are some silly question that I believe are only attempts to gain attention. As far as your question, the only dumb question is an important one that is not asked.
Some will say there are no dumb questions, only dumb askers. The best answer to a dumb-asked question is no answer at all.
Answers, on the other hand, often prove how dumb people can be. Mostly though, I have found that many in this forum are sincerely trying to be helpful by sharing their experience and knowledge while others ask truly important questions that stir thought and help to form insightful opinions.

you can ask a question that you may not understand where somebody else does and they will say its a dumb question..But i think its better to ask anyways because the only dumb thing to do is never ask a question and sometimes when you ask other people think the same thing and agree with you...A dumb answer is something so stupid it shouldnt of even been answered
