I dont think homosexuality in increases, but I think the level of people coming out is increasing. It is more acceptable now a days then before so more and more people are compfortable with coming out.

Its not that anyone is becoming more gay, its become a choice. This day and age it has now become acceptable for males and females to go both ways and more males and females are becoming curious leading not to full blown homosexuality but a rise in bisexuality. There is a big difference think about this statistic if you watch sports one out of every 6 basketball players are reported to be homosexuals that means at least two per team? Does all this really surprise you though, with the laws passing for marriage and other events its not that there was a rise in homosexuality its that more people are openly admitting it now.

I don't neccessarily think that homosexuality is increasing in teens, i just think that teens "nowadays" are more comfortable discussing sexuality. I also think (and hope that i'm right about this), personally, that parents really should not make children feel dirty and inappropriate when talking about sex in general, and should be very candid and honest when children are asking pointed questions. Age appropriate discussion and answers should always be considered, but if you're honest with your children in an open manner, they too will be honest and open with you.

No it is not. It seems like it is only because people are becoming more accepting of themselves. The number of homosexuals is and always will be between 3-10 percent (if i remember correctly). Its genetic, so the population will always keep that percentage. Its actually a very altruistic gene, and yes straight people carry it.

Most likely being gay is becoming more accepted so more gays are coming out of the closet. I still can't think of many people wanting to be gay.

I think that there are two sides to this coin. I think that it is more accepted so more people are coming out about it. I think that most people that are gay are born that way and should not change themselves to fit what others think. The other half of this story is that young people are just learning about their sexuality and have a lot of complex emotions that are tied up with it. Young people are figuring themselves out and because homosexuality is now more accepted I think that people feel safer to experiment more. A generation ago people were much more reluctant to act on their homosexual feelings for fear of becoming an outcast. People are more willing to talk about being gay and more people are experimenting sexually even if they ultimately decide they are not gay.

Although sexual feelings and behavior are important parts of human development, there are still many unanswered questions about human sexuality. Researchers are constantly learning new information, and undoubtedly people will know more about sexual orientation in the coming years.

It seems like teens today are less inhibited, less afraid, to experiment. They apparently for the vast majority have experimented with having sex with someone of their own gender. This might lead to people who are naturally homosexual (because I believe you are born that way) knowing themselves earlier.
