No they should serve full sentence, getting out early for good behaviour in a controlled enviroment does not cut it for me. Would they be still on good behaviour after being released early I think not!!

No No No prisoners should do the time they are given Our laws should be renewed ,Prison time is rubbish really when you think a murdering rapist of a little girl could be out and about in just 8 years where is the justice in that. or some guy came beat an old lady to an inch of her life and take all her belongings and get just 5years .What is this world coming to .No I say no time off for good behaviour

I cannot understand a Judge giving out a term say 10yrs knowing quite well they will only serve a fraction of the sentence. So why don't they say when sentencing , that they serve no less than 10yrs.That way the wrong doer will think twice before committing the offence, one would hope.

stupid innit. you get half a sentance for pleading guilty.. which in some cases where the evidence is so overwhelming you'd be an idiot not to.. and then you get half a sentance for good behaviour.. so for 12 years you could get 6 for pleading guilty and be out in 3.. although it's eligable for parole.. not necessarily released..
but yeah it's ridiculous.. build more prisons.. or fire them to the moon... i know lets make new york into a maximum security penetentiary and put all the prisoners on there with no wardens, only a wall all the way round

they should serve the whole term, and life should mean life, no time off for `GOOD` behaviour if they were good they would`nt be in prison in the first place
look at all the cases where prisoners get released early then go on to re-offend, if they were still in prison that crime would never have been committed

2 diverse causes, The time spent in penitentiary waiting for trial is blanketed which may be more desirable than a 12 months. round halfway in the sentence is even as parole comes up and if you're on solid behaviour and the patrol board imagine you're reformed...

It really depends on what they've done, but I think they should serve it all, after all that's the sentence they were given!
