i'm refinishing the top of a distressed pine coffee table and want to match the color. i have 2 other peices both by diifferent manufacturers but they all look the same color. thank you

Pine is a very light absorbant wood, so every stain made works well with it. Grab some chip samples from the hardware store, and pick the 5 closest you can find. Then using another piece of wood, try some out and let them dry so you can see what it will actually do. If it's just a coffee table top you probably won't need very much stain at all, so get the smallest containers you can find. Good luck!

If they are small, you can pack one in the car and take it to the hardware store to try to match with the stain. Otherwise, the best you will be able to do is get a color sample sheet and try to match it with the other furniture.
