What do you mean would have been, he is the best in the game in offense and his defense gets better by the day. Even with his stint on the DL his numbers are still pretty good, but just imagine if he hadn't been on the DL, I'd say 6 more hr, 20 more points on his BA, 20 more RBIs, and 35 more points on his slugging %. Without a doubt best all around hitter in the game today

He still is the BEST hitter in baseball. Over the past 5 years he has better numbers than anybody. He is the best PLAYER in the game right now.
1. Albert Pujols

Luckily he was out about 2 wks. He still has time in the season to continue doing what he does. If you are asking best season at the plate for a season if he wasn't injured it would have been close to the best recorded for a season in baseball for certain. He was on pace for like 73 Homers and who knows about his RBI's and average. I'm an American League guy so I'm glad he's in the National League terrorizing those pichers.

Even with the injury....he is still the best in baseball. He is a raw young talent and nobody can match him. He broke the April record for HR and was on pace to smash Bonds record by at least 5. Even after sitting for 15 games he was leading the league in homeruns and came back to knock one out on his 2nd night back. PUJOLS IS A STUD!!!!!!!!!!
