This question was from an IQ test I took. I scored a 138 which is only 2 points shy of genius. I remember being able to correctly answer just about every question except for this one. I had to guess, please don't answer if you are guessing and if you know the answer, please enlighten me as to how you came to your answer:

the answer is A because John likes perfect squares.......400 is a perfect square of 20, 100 is a perfect square of 10, 3600 is a perfect square of 60, and 900 is a perfect square of 30.....neither 1000, 1100, nor 1200 are perfect squares

the answer is 900.

Why, because its a perfect square. 400 = 20*20 100 = 10 * 10 3600 = 60*60 900 = 30*30. None of the other choices are perfect squares

B
there is a difference of 100 between 400 and 300
99 is not 100 so naturally he likes 100
difference between 3700 and 3600 is 100
It is apparent he prefers even numbers and the only one that can be divided with an aswer of a even number is B

He likes A. 900. All the numbers he like are 20x20 =400, 10x10 = 100, 60x60 = 3600.

So he like 30x30 = 900.

And I am no genius.
