Assuming a night on the town (ie dinner, show, dancing) and that men would generally prefer to see their dates wear skirts or dresses (pantyhose would be a plus) yet, in many a case, the woman still shows up wearing pants. What do men suppose to surmize from this:
1) that it is more important to the woman to be dressed comfortably then to impress their man, or
2) are they dressing to be fashionable (in their eyes), again at the expense of the desires of the man or
3) something else entirely.
As for me, it is quite frustrating to tell my dates/friends that they look better in skirts, and inevitably they show-up in slacks. Don't get it.

2. Sometimes you need to tell them the details of the date. As for myself for dinner and dancing I would wear a cute Kenneth Cole dress and sexy sandals.

Either you are just dating the wrong women, or you are not firm enough. I am a leg guy, so I won't even look at a woman unless she is sporting good legs, which means she is prone to skirts anyway. In college before I knew how to screen them, I woulds say we are going to X, so wear a skirt and stockings. If they did not, I would take them to a hamburg stand or a drive in and take them home. They would get the idea or it would be NEXT.
It's pantyhose that I hate even mort than pants. Stockings with a garterbelt and heels, can be very seductive with the right pants, but pantyhose is always a no no with me. I date a new girl wearing pantyhose, I will tell her she should try stockings because they are so much more attractive, and we will buy some together online, and have them sent to her.

Women should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. I mean, they don't ask you to show up in a tuxedo. It's ok to tell them they look nice when they wear dresses or skirts, but trust me, they're not comfortable. We like looking good for our men, but damn, give us a break. A girl has to chill sometimes and if you are so superficial that you have to be seen with arm candy all the time, then it's you that has the problem!!

Your date can wear anything they want, as long as they're comfort with it. Whoever said you have to dress the way others want. Isn't it better to be different and comfortable, than similar and unpleased? lol...there are other different issues as well: 1. maybe they didn't do their laundry, 2. maybe it's that time of the month, or 3. they haven't gone shopping. Ever thought of these problems women might have to encounter?

easy. pants are more comfortable and more versatile; they're warmer, and easier to live in. I once spent a full afternoon and night in a dress in hopes of impressing people, and I ended up walking 10 blocks and driving for 3 hours in said dress and heels. Also froze my *** off, since nylons are not warm. Wish I'd worn pants.

It seems a little demeaning to be told by one's date how to dress for said date. Also, anyone who thinks pantyhose are a plus has never worn a pair.

Perhaps she's not dressing to impress you, Mr. Wonderful. Ever think that maybe she doesn't care what you think about how she dresses? Ever think that maybe she wears what she wants to wear, not what you tell her to wear? Ever think that maybe your little opinion doesn't matter as much as you thought it did?
