its not working , i did the whole double click the speaker looking thing in the corner andwent to options properties and checked the mic box then unchecked the mute box for the mic but i tried testing my mic in the sound control but it wasnt working. did i miss something? HELP PLEASE

Go to Volume Control again. Click on options then Advanced controls. Make sure nothing is muted. Then click on Options again and then go to PROPERTIES. Click on "Recordings" and then click OKAY. Click the ADVANCED button that shows up after you click Advanced Controls. Then check the box that says "MICROPHONE BOOST" and then click close and also make sure your microphone is not muted. Also make sure your microphone is selected. Click okay and then close everything.

you might have to go to the add new hardware section in control panel and find the device.
