What is your height? it sounds like a normal weight for an 11 year old. I have an 11 year old brother and he weighs around 150lbs; his height is about 5'2.

work out and take in lots of protein. Also lack of weight-gain may be related to a disease called....? Well i don' remember but it is when your body cannot absorb the nutrients you give it....no matter what.
try loving your body the way it is and accenting your assets, so your skinny....but maybe you are just petite? maybe you are not as bad as you think. Maybe you should show off your beautiful hair or your great smile or you great sense of style, instead of trying to make yourself into something you are not. Your body still needs time to develop.....let nature do her thing.....in her own time. Meanwhile, love yourself.

First of all, how tall are you?
Secondly, your body will be going thru a lot of changes soon. You will start filling out and developing, so just hang in there, hon, your body will do what it's supposed to and things will work out.
Just eat right, rest good and let mother nature take her course. You'll see, everything will turn out ok.

Sweets is not the answer, they send the wrong messege to brain and that just starts the fat factory going, then your on the other end of the problem. Eat what you want ,your body will tell you, just listen to it. Eat lots of fruit and vegs. protein shakes are good too. the amino-acids. Your healthy unless your doctor has told you differently. then i suggest you ask him or her what you should do and if you don't like their answer, ask your mom or dad to consult with a natural health practitioner.

Well Kaila i am 13 and i understand how you feel. The reason why you are skinny is because your body hasn't developed yet but keep eating, but not to much and by time your 12 going on 13 you should be thicker.

eat lots & lots of chicken & cheez milk, icecream, Z& things with lots of calories, but not sugar or junk. Do this for 1 month, then the 2nd month start a gain masive weight workout, one that will turn that wieght into muscle, then the next month you go back to eating a lot. & there you go.

The weight will come naturally as you get older. That's what happens in a growth spurt, first you grow up, then you grow out. Try asking your mom and dad for pictures of them when they were your age, and compare them to pictures of them as they slowly got older. You'll see what I mean.

You are how your genes made you to be. Genes are like little messengers inside your body that have determined what height, weight, hair color, eye color , body build you will have before you were born. You can't change how god made you. Just be thankful you're healthy and alive.
