I would say no, the A's are tied for 1st in the AL West, and they definitely have a chance to win this division, plus Rich Harden is due back in the 2nd half. He stays this year, next year Mr. Zito will be pitching for a new team.

Based on the weakness of the American League West I doubt that the A's will unload Zito until after the 2006 season. However, there is little to no chance that they keep him next year. He will either end up on the Yankee's or the Dodgers and probably win 18 to 21 games. (Ouch)

That's questionable. I'm hoping not. He's been told that negotiations for a contract would not be made until the end of the year, and he's hoping to stay with the A's for as long as possible. The suggestion of contract negotiations seems to imply that the A's want to try to keep Zito. They really need to keep that rotation together, especially once Harden gets healthy.

He will be a Giant by the end of the season, the two Barry's will be in that trade. Bye bye Bonds, welcome Mr. Zito!!!

It's so hard to tell what the A's are going to do. I don't think Billy Bean thinks his season is over, so he'll probably hold onto him.

They have a good chance to get to the playoffs in that division, and the A's kept Hudson and mulder until the end of their last contract years, so I think he's going to stay in Oakland.

they were talkin' about this on the radio yesterday..

he has a new agent.. so it is likely he will get shipped out at the end of the year.. he's a good pitcher and i'm sure there are teams out there willing to pay him more money

the a's always seem to find young talent.. especially pitching.. they should be okay.. their real problem is offense right now.. their batting avg. is boo boo!

If the A's drop out of the race in the next two weeks, he is gone.

I don't think so because they already let some of their best pitchers go and I don't think they want this one slipping away.
