I believe that it would be a temporary emotional bandaid.
Emotional wounds no matter the severity need to be adressed in order to avoid the possibility of spilling over into another part of one's psyche. I am not saying that you need to break down and cry and become a depressed basket case, but face the truth of your hurt with your eyes wide open, accept it for what it is, find an acceptable way to deal with it an move on with your life at what ever pace is most comfortable for you.

even temporary emotional bandaids have their place, it'll help you get over the hump while your subconscious works on the real problem. you'll know when you are ready to face reality.

actually no.... emotional healing happens when there is no superficiality involve. you want to heal, get real with your self.

Yes i think it is. If you allow yourself to always be sad, or to look on the down side, then your emotions, can't be on a lighter side.
