I really like first three answers which came before mine.
You almost have to be one to want to be president. There is the power and prestige and perhaps the will to do good--but there is also the stress. I have noticed that lots of gray hairs show up in the first six months.
I couldn't deal with it, and really don't want to run your life anyway. I have my hands full with my own.

I can think of two off the top of my head.Both Democrats.
Lyndon Johnson often referred to himself as the King,and had a throne like seat installed on Air Force One.
And FDR,who arranged to be "re-elected" to four terms,so that the law had to be changed to prevent future dicatatorships.
