I think it is better to have loved...It says your capable of important emotions and the pain you are feeling just confirms it. Being in love is a beautiful thing. Who says you lost? Sounds like the person who dumped you did. Remember..God sees the big picture and has the best plans for your life. The best is yet to come!

I have had 3 long term relationships in my short 28yr life so far and been engaged twice.. I have been very lucky with my partners and though i feel really down when i am single or just out of a relationship, i still look for a new one and cant waith to feel the excitment of another first kiss...

so i guess if i am wanting to go back for more it must be better to have loved and lost and loved and lost and loved again...

No, it's true. Caring about others is one way we grow into whom we become throughout life. Without that experience there is no way to prepare for the next one. This experience, even repeated in multiple, teaches you something and you will pay attention to what yo now know the next time you find yourself in the same situation. If we never loved, we would be no better than our pets who are not humanly capable and do not know the value of what they are not capable of. The statement is a true and powerful one.

YES IT IS. Being loved bring you wonderfull feeling. Make you want to fly, make you want it more. So, dont give-up it will happened again, round in a corner when you will not accepted to be...
So what if you are dumped? It happening all the time. NOW try to be CATCHED by someone and do the love...

I think it is far better to have never loved at all because if you've had something and lose it then you miss it, but by not knowing you don't miss it at all. Trust me I know what it feels like to have lost the love of my wife and it hurts badly. I prefer not having in the first place

I absolutely believe that it is better to have loved and lost than not loved at all. In time you will remember the good times. I think its better to have the ups and downs of life than to live life in the 'average' middle ground all the time. Life is for living and loving (and loosing love) is part of it.

i think people who have never 'lost' say that because they have never experienced it. any body who has gone thru a break up from a serious relationship can tell u its not a good feeling at all. i would have rather not experienced love or a relationship at all than to have had it and lost it. now it feels like there is this void in my life.

Yes it is better to have loved than to never loved at all. For that brief period of joy, romance, attention, and love is worth all the bitterness, loneliness, and sadness that follows.
There are girls that I still miss today but I wouldn't have changed loving them for the time we shared.

you cant miss what you never had, personally i'm glad i've been in love and losing it just made me realise how important it actually is.
i wouldn't change anything at all so yeah, it is better to have loved and lost then never loved at all.
s'pose it depends on the circumstances tho'
