Whole Wheat Bread. They're an updated version of Bad Brains. Check out their myspace page. Listen to "Old Man Samson." They also have a song with the singer from Suicide Machines. They don't look like your ordinary punk band, but they are legit.
All those bands that the other people mentioned are all great bands, but they are pretty old. You said you wanted a new punk band.

I say skip the Punk phase and move onto better music.
But since you probably wont take my advice...
Most bands that people listed are acceptable.
Dead Kennedy's
Sex Pistols
The Ramones
The Casualties
The Unseen
Operation Ivy
etc
And At the Drive In is NOT punk. Dont ever consider them that; they are way better.

if your asking for new bands, try listening to Blue October. I love their song, "Hate me" and they just came out w/ they're new album.

suicidal tendencies, black flag,sex pistols,exploited, the dead kennedys ,the beastie boys before they went rap were a decent punk band ,but I prefer their rap stuff
