If so why wasn't it in theaters very long? Was it better than the last two?

I personally didn't like it and i think a lot of other ppl didn't as well because the writer(s) chose to ignore the mythology entirely. Things established in the first 2 movies were also set aside for special effects and celebrity egos. And there were A LOT of unexplained characters. It had a lot of great special effects but without an engaging story to back it up, it's not much. Well, at least Hugh Jackman took off his shirt...

Some times they do that when they have bigger movies coming in, for instance Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest. After X-men 3 The Last Stand left theaters here, the Pirates came in. It was a good movie and you learned a lot more about Jean in it, which I really liked because I love the X-men and was wondering when they were going to mention the Phoenix.

I saw it when it first came out. I liked it just as well as the first two, but if you do go see it stay through the credits. Something happens.

I agree with dadysgirl...it was ok. First 2 were a lot better.

eaaah! wrong...x-men the last stand had more interesting special effects, really nice ones, but the story kinda sucked...
