The Pixies were much more influential to an entire generation of alt rockers (Nirvana, Radiohead) while the Breeders were during that Fem period with bands like Garbage and Hole. Although the Breeders were influential in getting girls to pick up guitars, I feel strongly that the Pixies were much more influential to the early 90s and today. Check out the Pixies DVD - its lights out.

I also would have to say The Pixies. The Breeders only had one good song (and it was a very good song) and were only around for a short time. The Pixies influence was on a much greater scale. The members of Nirvana often joked about Smells Like Teen Spirit sounding like a Pixies ripoff. Anyways, how many people are waiting for a Breeders reunion?
