More importantly, I would like to share with you the Truth about the afterlife. I only tell you this because I care what will happen to you when you die. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, used God’s name in vain? These are just a few of God’s Moral Laws. When you die, God will judge you on the basis of His Moral Law. If you stand guilty before God of breaking His Laws, He will send you to Hell. If God is Just and Holy, He must punish lawbreakers. The good news is that God provided a way for you to be forgiven and go to Heaven. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again to pay the debt for your sins and take your punishment. What you must do is Repent, which means to say you are sorry to God and turn away from your sins. Then put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven, not because you’re a good person, but because you’re a bad person who’s been forgiven. Please give this some thought. Your Eternal Destination depends on it.

yes, the big bang theory is testable, and many have tested it for decades, and it is well supported by the results of these tests. the big bang theory makes predictions, and those predictions are testable.

Yes, the Big Bang Theory (it's not really called that) is indeed testable. All that is necessary to flush it down the toilet of wrong ideas is one (that's right, ONE) contradictory piece of solid evidence. Science is all about learning about the Universe we live in by asking questions of Nature and putting the answers we get together to form a cohesive whole.
The Church said that the Earth was the center of the Universe. The Sun went around the Earth. Copernicus said it made more sense if the Earth went around the Sun. Galileo agreed. The Church said that the Bible dictated that the Earth was the center of the Universe, and everything went around the Earth. Everything above the sky was perfect. Galileo looked through his telescope and saw that the Moon was cratered, not a perfect celestial sphere as the Church insisted. He looked at Jupiter and saw moons orbiting it, not the Earth. The Church put him under house arrest. For looking at the sky.
Science is a unifying activity. Yes, there are scientists on the fringe. Sometimes their hypotheses turn out to be true, and become incorporated into the body of knowledge. Sometimes they don't, and they fall by the wayside. But scientists, all over the world, have a general agreement of what is testable and therefore fact. All that is necessary to challenge any part of this body of knowledge is to produce one solid, repeatable, contradictory fact.
Religion is based on belief.
Challenge any part of it and you are labeled a heretic, excommunicated or worse. There are no "tests". To question any part is to question Belief itself. The Church cannot allow that, since without blind belief, it would fall like a house built on sand.
If Religion is based on a single set of God's Laws, then how do you explain the large number of denominations, most of which cannot agree on one or another of these Laws? Is your God of the Old or New Testament? Or the Talmud, or the Koran? Maybe you believe in many Gods, or a Great Spirit, or the Eightfold Path or the Tao. Oh, please, don't confuse "Religion" with "Christianity", because in the world, Christianity is a minority belief.
Can I eat pork? Can I eat meat on Friday? Can I divorce my wife? Can I talk to God directly, or must I go through a priest? Can a priest (or other minister) be a woman? married? gay?
You speak of Eternal as if it lasts a long time. That is a mistake. Eternal means "out of time". It is my opinion, that as you (eventually) die, you are in for a big disappointment. But NOBODY knows for sure, do they. It does sound to me like you are guilty of the Sin of Pride.
I'm a Militant Agnostic; when it comes to the afterlife, I don't Know, and you don't either, so keep your evangelizing to yourself.
The last time we had religion in our politics, people were burned at the stake.
After the Rapture, can I have your car?

The Big Bang Theory is a "retroactively testable" theory. We can study the physical, observable properties of the universe today, compare it with the oldest data available, and then use the Laws of science (not the Theorys) to calculate where we should be now, what the background radiation ought to be, and how far away the most distant observable objects ought to be. We've done that, and everything is just about as it should be for this outrageous Theory to be true.
If you hear a thumping noise in the back of your car, do you conclude that you probably have a flat tire? Or are you more likely to conclude that a Deity is trying to send you a garbling coded message? Don't you think that if God created things the way that was described in the bible, he would have guided the (human) writers to write an account with less holes in it?

I just wanted to say how much you "surprised" me, fishinforsouls...because I am a born-again believer and have known Christ personally now, let me think, for 32 years. I accepted Christ as my Personal Saviour at the age of 19 in 1975, when on the verge of suicide. I've been a Bible-believing Christian who attends a Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I just wanted to say, "Thank you...and keep up your good work which Christ is working IN you".

Yes, the big bang theory is a testable subject. If you actually read a bit on it, you'll quickly find that to be true.
I'm just going to ignore the rest of your evangelizing.

Do you have the same evangelistic diatribe in each of your questions?
I have to say, as your brother in Christ, that you're not helping our Lord with this tactic.
And I hope you read that before the Yahoo folks remove this question.

Yes it is testable when we will be able to see the light from the big bang (It is possible with better telescopes but our possibilities does not match with with the desire of having that kind of telescope).

ok, then YOU go and pray for your immortal soul. im just fine with my atheism.....and no, you can't test big bang theory, though all the evidence we have from credible sources points that way.
