You may want to go and pitch your ideas where investors gather. Here are some places where angel investors come and those looking for funding can come and pitch their business plans. Be sure to have a strong business plan and describe what makes your business idea stand apart:

You should begin looking for angels relatively close to you (as in an hour or two drive from your house at the most.) You can search on www.gobignetwork.com or do a quick search for angel investor groups to find local investors. Otherwise it's just a matter of going to local business organizations and chambers of commerce to meet as many potential investors as possible. It's really a numbers game after you have exhausted your network of family and friends. Your best bet after family and friends is to get referrals from them. Cold calling investors takes lots of time and decreases your chances of getting funded.
