Dancing with the Angels. By Monk and Neagle. We played this song at my dad's funeral. Very sad.
Lyrics:
Memories surround me
But sadness has found me
I’d do anything for more time
Never before has someone meant more
And I can’t get you out of my mind
There is so much that I don’t understand
But I know…
Chorus
You’re dancing with the angels
Walking in new life
You’re dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you’re dancing with the angels
You had love for your family
Love for all people
Love for the Father, and Son
Your heart will be heard
In your unspoken words
Through generations to come
There is so much that I don’t understand
But I know
Chorus
Bridge
We’re only here for such a short time
So I’m gonna’ stand up, shout out,
And sing Hallelujah
One day I’ll see you again

Sorry to hear about your grandfather though....
I think of "He Loves Me (Lyzel in E flat)" by Jill Scott & it reminds me the really good relationship my son's father & I had. All that sorrow just flows down the river. And Toni Braxton's "Just Be A Man About It" as well. Don't make me think about that all day! LOL & Be Good...

With You In Your Dreams- Hanson
And another song but I don't know the artist's name. It goes something like this. . .
"Don't be afraid of my love
I'll be watching you from above and I'd give all the world tonight to be with you.
'Cause I'm on your side. I still care
[I mean] I've died and I've gone nowhere.
Just think of me and I'll be there."
It doesn't make me think of anyone in particular. But the concept is just creepy. No one wants to think that a loved one who passed away is missing us in the afterlife.

"Nature Boy," originally sung by Nat King Cole. It's an allegory about the enchanted days of lost youth and the true meaning of love, which is very often learned later in life.

YES!!!!! Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion
For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

For me it is Creep, by Radiohead, and it was played at one of my good friends burials..he took his own life...now when I hear it I think back to that moment and how I felt..also She talks to Angels by the Black Crowes..another good frined sang that at the burial..he changed a few words like she to he etc...they both make me very sad..and I have trouble not thinking about him stil..and it has been a couple months since he did it.
