It is not the speakers that are not being detected it is the sound card. Put the CD in your computer that came with your sound card (if you have one) and run the installer. If you don't have a CD, go to the manufacturer of your sound cards website and get the driver from there. Also, even though this may sound obvious, check the volume in control panel under Sound and Audio Devices, it may be on mute.

Go into the control panel
Click the system icon
Go to the hardware tab
Click the Device Manger button
Find the section that list the Sound devices and click the little + in front
Find your sound card, right click and uninstall it
Reboot and the sound card will reinstall
Hopefully after that your speakers will work

is your network card working fine?
did you plug everything in correctly into the correct slots?
is the speakers turned on?
did you check your audio settings to make sure you dont have it mute?
are you sure the drivers are still installed?
are you sure the computer is actually seeing the speakers and not the network card?
it could be a number of problems test all of those out

ok then its your drivers you need to reinstal them
