it's scary how fast people will jump to conclusions isn't it. with no thought of the truth of the situation or the consequences that the rumours will bring.

Hi madge, there is no point in trying to make these people understand that Zidane did wrong and that Materazzi didn't call him a dirty Muslim! I'm really sorry to say but there are many people that are blinded by the truth, unfortunately we're not going to change their way of thinking ! There are people against assault and unfortunately others that don't give a ****!! Let's just be happy that we won the World Cup and forget about what these people think...We know that we can be proud of the Azzurri's but as for them they have to wait 4 years to see IF they qualify for the next World Cup!

They already ran and hide. It just showed how people are so easy to buy into rumors and gossips , rather to wait for the truth or to believe with their own eyes and ears .
I watched the replay many times . At first, Materazzi was lightly holding Zidane , nothing's wrong with that, I just think it was a friendly gesture . That would be true if Materazzi does in fact admires Zidane . Zidane was the one got mad and crouchy and started the trash talking . I would be in shock if a player which I admires trash-talking to me . Normally, shock will leads to anger, that's when Materazzi fired back with insults .
Now ask yourself what would you do if someone you admire trash-talk to you ?

Well, supposedly the media had lip readers decipher what Materazzi said, and that was something I heard also. I also heard Materazzi said something like he hoped Zidane's family suffered when they died, and Zidane's mom was just diagnosed with something. I guess it makes good press.

yes Zidane said that Materazzi didn't call him a terrorist or dirty muslim..but he said he insulted his sister and his mother so go and hear his speach again and then talk..Materazzi is an *******
