Does anyone know where I can purchase a good wood storage shed with a loft in the measurements of 10'w by 14'd by 12'h? I'm looking for a kit which I can assemble myself from a company that will ship nationwide. Don't want those cheapy metal sheds, looking for wood. Don't want those plans/blueprints since my carpenter skills are pretty limited. Looked at most companies but the roof heights are only around 10', need lots of loft space. Something just like a Tuffshed but cheaper. (BTW, Home Depot and Lowes don't carry sheds with ceilings past 10' specs on their diy kits). Thanks!!

I am a carpenter and have built many sheds in the last 30 years, so take it from when I say that it will be cheaper to buy the material and build it yourself. But the part you have to watch out for is how you finish the outside. If you are planing to put shingles on the roof, or to add siding to the walls, then it will be more expensive. But if you go with paint for the walls (and even the roof if you wanted to), then it would be cheaper to make it yourself. you can also save money buy going to a place that sells used construction/building supplies for things like the hinges for the door. There is also the added bonus of the satisfation of having built it yourself

Sorry a 10'x14'x12' storage shed is going to cost you $6095.00 for precut with plans and $6895.00 for preassembled.

make sure you have a good level cement or gravel base before assembling.

dude, its not that hard to build one. if you can use a miter and skill saw. i went to tuffshed.com and picked out the one i liked. my younger brother helped me draw the plans and we built it. we poured the cement, built four walls, threw up the roof, couple shingles, some paint. two grand later, poof! i have a lawn mower cozie and my wife can park her honda in the garage.
