The only reason that you would do this is because you're a drinker (there's nothing wrong with that.) However, alcohol thins the blood and will make it spray more. To help, I suggest chewing on a styptic pencil while you attempt this awesome feat.

You're doing it wrong. You should insert the fishhook into such a place in your tongue where it misses any veins or arteries!! Sheesh!!

try using non-barbed fish-hooks... also a heavier test string... this should reduce the bleeding
