Keep the wick a little bit longer and the flame will be bigger.

My zippo is almost 3 years old :) Had it as a hobby. yeah it gives u a wider and longer flame .. around 2 - 3 inches ... dependng on the fuel and the piece of fabric that is soaked .. u have to maintain it .. and change parts every year or so... I fill it every 2 or 3 months .. ... It depends also on the model ... there are few that are wind resistant..and give u a shorter flame... good luck :)

Overfill the lighter and let it burn off. It won't last forever, but it'll be huge at first. There's no way to adjust the flame on a Zippo like there is on a disposable lighter.

You open it up like you are going to fill it. Do the rest using a tweezers. Take the pad off the bottom. Take the cotton out of the lighter. Turn the lighter over. Pull the wick out further. Put the cotton back in. Put the pad back in. Fill with fluid. Put lighter back together.
