1. keeping your calorie intake at 1500 calories per day (girl), or 2000 calories per day (guy)
2. and exercising at least 1 hour each day (sports [best are swimming and running because they provide an overall shapeup without building bulky muscles, actually I think swimming is the best], or pushups, crunches, leg lifts, obliques, pilates, ...) it's best if you pick a sport that works your overall body. swimming does that (why I love it) and running controls your breathing, and although your legs start building lean muscle, it may build too much, but that's an overall body exercise too. racquetball is also good because you sprint and have to twist and hit the ball as hard as you can... you get the point.
3. watch what you eat... cut down on carbs, build up on protein (which helps you build muscles), and don't eat carbs after 6pm
4. get a lot of fruits and vegetables, the more colors, the better, and try to eat a lot of them (don't overdo it) and less actual food
5. don't puke or do lipo or such... ignore the losers
6. you might not see drastic results initially because first you need to build the muscle that will support the weight loss, and muscles weigh like twice the fat of each square inch (I don't know the exact number, but it weighs more). although the average weigh loss per week you should expect is 2 lbs. (the healthy weight loss), you can probably lose more because you're so overweight

ok first of all your 14, all the fat you have right now is your baby fat, and you would lose that normaly by the time you turn 17. If you want to speed up the process, you can do it healthy ok?
The following are facts that can really help you, if your vigorous, and keep up the routine. got it?
ok, you have to eliminate sugar from your diet, I know when your a kid you love candy..but you asked..so sugars gotta go out the door. eliminate soda, and drink lots of water. Water gets rid of fat, while you sleep too:) and its good for you.
2nd eat right. Try to eat healthy, salads are a great way, you can make anysalad you want, if you choosed a dressing, use a fat free one, eat veggies, they are so healthy, and you get full easily.
if you get hungry for a snack, eat some soy chips, Oatmeal makes some great snacks that are really yummy and below 70calories per serving.
ok, a human is supposed to intake 2000 calories a day, or less.
but don't go crazy counting calories, life should't be like that.
you are very young, when you go back to school, join a sports team, so your always active. Excersice with a healthy diet, you can lose those pounds you want to get rid of, and you'll be healthy also:)
if you don't want to wait until you go back to school, go for a jog at the beach everyday, bring some water with you, and eat well.

well, first off, how tall are you? different heights should have different weight goals, so check that first, then my advice would be to talk to someone who has done something similar to you and get all the possible advice. good luck!

you should go to fitday.com it's free and it'll help you see whether your burning more calories that your eating which is essential in losing weight. Don't push yourself too hard it'll come.
