Someone gave me a brand new camera, never been used. But it says it is a Panoramic lense camera. What difference does that make, if any?

Instead of exposing a small section (35mm length) of the film like a normal 35mm camera, it exposed about 3 sections (115mm length) giving you a picture that is super wide .

This camera would have a wide-angle lens - the opposite of a telephoto - so you get a big part of the view in the picture. Then it cuts off the top and bottom sections of the picture, leaving you with a picture that is much wider than it is high. You can do the same thing with any camera with a wide-angle lens by making bigger prints and cutting off the top and bottom of the picture.
