When I purchase food, I don't take into consideration the salary of the employees. What the corporate office decides to pay their employees is their decision. If a person chooses to work for a company that only offers them minimum wage that is also their preference.
Given, I don't expect Filet Mignon at McDonald's. However, I do expect my food to be fresh, properly made and a good value for my money regardless of the grade of meat they use.
If the employee is disgruntle about their wages they need to take it up with their boss, not take it out on the customers. That will only get them fired. A small paycheck is better than no paycheck!

The minimum salary for a waiter or waitress is @ $2 an hour. that's on a diverse pay salary than different jobs. The business organisation is think to make up the pay if the guidelines are not sufficient to equivalent the accepted minimum salary. it may suck yet i recognize some who time-honored @ $12 to $20 an hour with techniques.

I have never worked at a fast food place, but I heard that they actually make more than minimum wage. I have a friend that makes 7 dollars an hour at Subway. That's not much above min wage, but it still is more than min wage.

Why do people work there and then complain that the job sucks? Gotta survie!
I only like the places with free refills.

Because if no one ate there the people who work there would have no work at all. Take a course in economics.
