how do i make the current date show up on the bottom of an excel file when i print it?

Click on File...Page Setup...Header/Footer...Custom Footer....
Then type "&[Date]" in one of the sections.

File->Page setup->Header&Footer->Footer...->Date push button

it's a footer if it's at the bottom, and a header at the top

In your printer options or preferences, choose to print a watermark. Watermark can be the date.
