Sadness isn't a deadly sin. Avarice (usually known as wrath) and greed should be on seperate lines.

Most people are guilty of all 7 at one time or another. I've never heard of "sadness" being a deadly sin; "anger" or the more formal "wrath" usually fits that slot. What makes them deadly is lack of desire to change or be forgiven.

Traditionally, the 7 deadly sins are these:
Pride
Greed
Envy
Wrath
Lust
Gluttony
Sloth
Most of us exhibit some combination of these, but I think Greed is the most heinous.
My own failing--probably Sloth.
For a classical example of each, see Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene.

I'm guilty of all of them..... and i think deep down everyone is whether they will admit it or not. most people think it has to be in a negative context, but just admiring something and wishing you had it, or relaxing the day away, or looking at someones butt, there ya go

I'm almost certainly guilty of them all. However, I'd add one - treating people as things.

Sadness? That's not one of them.
*Wrath,* however, is.
