I think the Republican nomination will come down to McCain and Guiliani. Condi is too closely identified with the Bush administration to stand a chance in the general election, and that will played up. And Guiliani hasn't been doing much of anything lately, so he'll have to get himself in the news if he wants to go up against McCain. But McCain's a good chance of getting the nomination.

On the Democrat side, that's even tougher. Hillary seems poised to take the nomination with not much serious competition, although there could always be a new Howard Dean-type figure. But Hillary, much like Rice, would never be able to get enough non-leftist votes. She's been making a lot of moderate overtures, but even if she genuinely becomes a moderate, there are too many conservatives who have bad memories about her husband, and there will be plenty who will complain about alternating dynasties between Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton!

Between the two, Hillary and McCain, I would vote for McCain. He's much more sincere in his moderation, and his views line up a lot closer to my own. That said, I'm a guy, and I wouldn't have a problem voting for a woman if I thought she was the best, irrespective of gender. It's about time a woman gets the White House, just so long as that woman isn't a Clinton.

Well, if the woman is Hillary Clinton, no I will not. If the woman is Condoleeza Rice, I certainly will vote for her.

Other than that, I have no idea who will actually get each party's nominations.

I would vote for anyone ~ male / female, black / white / polka-dotted, republican / democrat / independent. I pay more attention to issues.

As far as who I think will run ~ still think it's too early to tell. After the November elections, I think we'll start to see some serious front-runners.
