Had he stayed on the pitch and led France to victory, then without a doubt, I'd say he's the best ever.
As it is, I rate him no 3, after Pele (at No2) and Maradona (No1)

First of all learn how to spell and second of all zidane is not the best, this whole world cup he did absolutely nothing. The only way he can score now is if he gets a penalty.

I don't. His lack of control probably cost his country the cup. He might be the best technical player in some time, but he's not a complete player because he couldn't control his emotions enough to prevent a bad outcome for his team. If you want the best player, look at Pele. He had the complete package necessary to be a true winner.

Del Piero is 10x the player Zidane will ever be or ever has been.
when they played together, Del Piero played half as much as he did and still beat him statisticaly, and the fans chose Del Piero over zidane.
he is still one of the worlds greatest, but not the best. maybe top 20

Funny how all the Italian players didnt want to mess with Zidane even after he dropped one of their own.
Italians had no guts, if that was me I would have helped my teammate.

I like Italy but I do have respect for Zidane's skills. i know you will find most people who don't like France will say they hate him. But i believe you should still give respect were it's due. i mean, that guy has total footwork ability!
