There were 150 of us living in shoebox in middle of road. We would get up half an hour before going to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work 25 hours a day down mill and pay mill owner for permission to work, and then when we would get home our mother and father would slice us in two with bread knife and dance about on our grave singing Hallelujah.
Now you try telling young people of today that and they won't believe you!

....you tried to eat a slug and realised it would be more useful stuck between the wheels of your sister's rollerskates. However after the slug caused her to trip over whilst using her skates and mash up her face, she resented you and chopped off your manhood by the time you were 14. Now you're no longer a lad, but a eunuch.

MY LIFE WAS QUITE SAD. NO PLACE TO LIVE ,NO MUM AND NO DAD. HO THE KIDS OF TODAY THINK THEY'VE GOT IT BAD I HEAR THEM ALL MOANING IT MAKES SO MAD. THEY'RE NEVER GRATEFUL FOR ALL THAT THEY'VE HAD. I'VE WORKED REALLY HARD AND GOT A NICE PAD BUT I'D LOVE TO GO BACK TO JUST BEING A LAD.

Wagon Wheels were bigger and Grandstand was top notch entertainment, you dreamed of Action Man with eagle eyes and gripping hands (ahem) and there was mysterious white dog poo in the park.
