when Paul Simon lived in England 'Kathy' was a girl that worked in the local fish and chip shop....she introduced Paul to many things...pickled eggs,gherkins and his personal favourite,mushy peas.He never forgot her(or the peas) and to this day he has a huge jar of pickled onions outside his mansion in her memory.Sadly she was killed in 1976 when she tripped over a skateboard and fell into a fryer......the outpouring of grief in the local community was massive.it was friday night,there was a huge queue and she broke 5 bits of fish when she hit the fat putting frying times back 10 minutes..
