Google is a term for a number. Like a hundred or ten.

Actually, that's "googol," not "google" (which is a search engine) or "dougal" (which is a lousy movie ;-) ).

And a googol is 10^100 -- that's a 1 followed by one hundred 0's.

Hope that helps!

Hi:

Back in the late 1980's the late Carl Segan had a show called "Cosmos" on the PBS Channel and in the show. He was talking about how a Physicist ask his son what to name the number 10 to the power of hundred or one with one hundred after it and the kid replyed " a Google" ever since then the name stuck so if some one say a google they mean 1 follow by one hundred zero. Also a Googleplex is 10 raise to a power of a Google or 10^(10^100) that a lot of zeros to write it out the zeros would have to encircle the Earth about a tillion times (WOW!)

I hope this answers your question

A number higher than the total number of atoms in the universe. And it is a number no closer to infinite as the number 1.

I think it's spelled googol

It's 10^100, or

10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
