It is a good career, nothing is a guarantee. You have to go to school for it and it is not the easiest thing. Not too difficult either.

It is a dependable job but not a high paying one. Now with a four year degree in Medical Record Keeping. You can make a fair chunk of change. There is also more demand than there is supply. You will have all the coding and billing skills so you can always do that part time on the side if you need to.

It's a specialty of sorts, and you could work at a doctor's office, clinic, hospital - any sort of medical provider is going to need codes to be reimbursed for services. And some services may allow you to work from home if you have a computer - it's largely data entry, so good computer skills are a must. Good luck.

Nothing is guaranteed, but there are a lot of openings for that where I live
Just check the classifieds to see if there are many positions open, and call around to different companies to see what they pay, then decide

It is popular now, but I worry about its future. I predict that eventually, human employees will be replaced by computer programs, which don't require a salary or benefits.

Yes you will always have a job, but it is a high stress environment so be prepared
