Go to a high place and gradually let the slinky lower, try weighing it down as well and leave it there for a while, after a few hours check on it, slowly bring it back up and the slinky should be as good as new...

If it's metal, throw it out. The tangle will bend the metal and it will never work right again.
If its the plastic kind, theonly thing that works it to work patiently, starting at one end and slowly unwind and untie it.
