As long as the poor teach their children that they deserve a handout.
As long as poor blame the rich for their own lack of ambition.
As long as the poor tell their kids, by words and acts, that education isn't that important.
As long as rich people keep giving the poor handouts.
As long as rich people feel guilty about the poor rather than giving them motivations to get out of the gutter.
As long as there are people, because there will always be poor beyond the lazy, the criminals, the foolish, the crazy. There will always be a fraction of those who are at the bottom, because there will always be a bottom.
Oh, they might have hover cars (old ones), replication units (must heat food seperately), and holographic entertainment units (small ones with bad reception), but these will be the poor.
Go examine the laws of the some of the countries where REAL poor people live. See how they are treated, herded, killed.
Better yet, come live in the U.S.A. We still have poor, they whine despite being the richest "poor" in the world, and often embrace a culture of no values, violence, sex, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, but they are still better off than 99% of the poor through out the world. Come whine here!

Well, it stays that way until the Sun and the Moon switch places with each other in the sky...and that will be in two thousand years from now...so if you can just figure out how to hang around...til then.

Any one can get rich if they use their brain and get a education and work hard but it sounds to me like you want someone to give you something. You won't get rich that way
